Removal of rear 4 spark plugs, advice please.
« on: September 16, 2024, 08:20:21 PM »
Any advice guys about the removal of all 8 spark plugs, but of course the back 4 are the problem area.
Is it preferable to remove the wipers and housing, etc above them?
I know there are some fancy tools available nowdays.
Also I am a novice mechanic.

I never needed to. Just a ratchet, small extension and a spark plug socket of the correct size. It was a little cramped but it worked.

You just undo the coils and connectors.

A good tip is undo the sparkplugs and if they don't easily come up just pop a cloth over the top and crank the engine for a second. They shoot up and get caught usually. And as a bonus any crap gets blown up out of the holes too.
