It is possible that the 12v battery's voltage had simply dropped below a certain level. Computers are sensitive to voltage drop. Shortly after getting our 2020 Jazz mk4 my wife parked with the radio on for about an hour. When she tried to put it in "start" mode (we weren't familiar with the different modes at that time!) it went berserk. The window which was down wouldn't go up, but there was enough voltage to make the other windows go up and down, the doors wouldn't lock, the brake lights were flashing, it wouldn't go in to "drive" mode, and all the display/dashboard lights were flashing. I arrived and attached my powerbank directly to the battery terminals and it was immediately OK and everything then worked correctly. Dealer had no explanation. The original 12v battery is still OK - but we keep a powerbank in the car all the time now.

hi this is my firts post, sorry for my poor english, my name is gokhan im from Turkiye. i have a 2024 jazz elegance e-hev for 4 weeks

i had an issue a week ago. i ride my jazz for 1.5 hours, than parked .   after 2 or 3 minutes i decided to change my parking place.

when i try to start my car; everything flashes.  hybrid system failure, srs failure brake assit failure etc.

i call  honda road aid. they came but they can not solved the problem so  my car towed to nearest honda service point ( 60 km)

you say you use your powerbank to solve exact same situation.

please explain more; how can i connect usb c powerbank to 12 v battery?

you mean something different tthan we use on our cell phones?

i hope i can tell my request.

thanks for reply

Hi Tasshelhoff.   Yes it is different.   The normal 5 volt usb  powerbank that can charge a phone will not do the job.  You need  a special power bank jump starter which  have   'crocodile 'clips which connect to the car battery These give  enough amps at 12 volts to start a car.   .

The power bank itself is only about the same size as a normal usb one  . The  crocodile clips make it a bit bigger, but these can be unplugged and left in the car. The power bank also has a 5volt usb outlet so can be used to charge phones etc.

Here is an example of one    sold on Ebay UK  with photos showing how big it is and what it can do.     You can probably buy something similar  locally  in Turkiye . Now may be a good time to buy .  Sellers somtimes increase prices during the winter.

Hi everyone,  I said I would report the findings from the Honda dealer in Cockermouth Cumbria.  After a 40 mile drive to the dealer for a service, MOT and possible battery issue, the car was left to investigate.  Fortunately after being on the ramps it decided to shut down.  Battery changed, all good....... so far! It has started four times with no issues so here's hoping. Battery changed on warranty claim.  A good end to this problem.  The small battery pack bought for a smart car has been a valuable tool , so I'd recommend one for emergency battery failure.  Cheers everyone.
