Touch up stick
« on: June 29, 2023, 08:08:58 AM »
I have just used the Honda touch up stick on a couple of small stone chips on the bonnet. Blue beam metallic, so they stood out annoyingly. I must say, the touch up stick worked perfectly, and after having used them on other makes of cars I was nicely surprised how good the Honda one is. You can just see a small blob if you look closely, but I still have the polishing process to go at yet.

Yes, the Honda ones are good. I still preferred the single bottle rather than the basecoat and clearcoat.

I got the finest brush I could find in Hobbycraft as even a cocktail stick or pinhead puts too much in. Just a very tiny amount, let it shrink in as it dries till it's just slightly raised then polish back as you say.
Let's be careful out there !

Very useful to know that.  My previous Honda Jazz suffered a "B&Q kiss" in their car park but it hadn't gone down to the metal so I just left it.
