How to dispose of tyre sealant?
« on: November 10, 2022, 08:00:02 AM »
I’ve just replaced the tyre sealant in the boot because the old stuff was well past it’s use-by date, so I now have an unused 300ml bottle of sealant to dispose of. How do I get rid of it responsibly? The label has dire warnings about health risk and says “special waste disposal” is needed, so I don’t want to simply dump it into landfill. I’ve asked my local council but it’s obviously too difficult because they haven’t replied. Any ideas?

I kept an old   aerosol inflator/sealant  kit and used it to top up my wheel barrow tyre when required, until it ran out.  It might be too much faff with the new style bottles of sealant .

When I got my last replacement I had the Honda dealer take the old one back as they are required to do by law.
