Having experienced a minor glitch with the operation of some of the electronics in cold & damp weather (see this:
http://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=8887.0) I thought I'd try to work out which sensor fed which system so I'd know which ones to be wary about in similar conditions in future. The handbook describes various warnings you're supposed to get if any of these sensors are obstructed in any way, but I didn't get any of those, it just became clear as I drove that some of the systems weren't functioning correctly. The one that worries me is the City-Brake Active system, which can apply the brakes unexpectedly.
After browsing the handbook for a while, the best I could come up with is in the attached picture (page nos. refer to the handbook, note the handbook illustrations appear to be for LHD car). So, if the handbook is correct, there are two sensors in the pod that Honda aren't telling us about. Or the handbook is wrong. I tried asking my local dealer, but the best they could offer was that the City-Brake Active system uses a radar sensor concealed behind the Honda "H" in the grille ... I can't see any evidence for this, and if it's correct then the handbook is even more wrong.
Anyone able to correct my picture, or know of a definitive source of info ?
