What's the best MPG You have got while eco-driving?

Do we want to become Prius people discussing 1 or 2 mpg by removing the fluff in glove box?
True MPG fill to fill over 250-300 miles, if its cold then consumption rises.

I've fitted 14" steel wheels and I'm getting 53mpg officially now. Motorway driving at a steady 70mpg mixed with small bits of traffic!

Looks rubbish with steelies but i for sure do save a lot of fuel! my range sometimes shows as 550miles on a good run. But is definitely better with smaller wheels

But is it really worth it surely steel wheels are much heavier ?

strangely steel wheels aren't heavier than alloys,  I know this because I change my wifes summer  tyres (alloys 185/55 R16) to steel rims 175/65 R15 every year - unless you get the real magnesium alloy wheels or exotics.

cmon people you can do better.. I remember doing 73-74mpg on my old 2003  1.2 jazz in good summer weather  while sticking to a bit under 90km/h speed limit pretty much everyday while going to work and pretty much gliding in neutral through cities/speed zones without touching the accelerator/brakes ,also No hills whatsoever down where I was.
If I reduced the speed to 70km/h while in some looooooooooooong ass german roadworks I remember getting 80mpg

i measure it by full tank every single time I fill up. Plus the difference in the odometer isn't much off. Because I make the exact same journey everyday and yet its just roughly 64odd miles each way. So it wouldn't be much off.

How many litres i fill up divide that by 4.5 to get the gallons. then your trip mileage divide by what gallons u got, and bam. MPG

I got 58.6mpg today driving at 58mph on the motorway!  ive fitted a k&n panel filter for improved air flow, and always use shell v-power nitro+ super unleaded petrol.

I'm positive the thread title was eco-driving? when I came to uk with the same car I wasnt able to get those numbers because of the hills you have everywhere and you don't have long empty roads where you can drive at any speed you want, really hard to get a relaxing drive here with the narrow/overcrowded roads here...

A warmer climate where the air is less dense and viscous and therefore gives lower wind resistance helps to improve the mpg.

Just a conversion/translation issue; 74 kilometers per gallon = 46 mpg = 16.3 km/L = 6.1 L/100km
