Has anyone had this replacement from Silverline in Edgware.
Looks like a really good deal

It would be worth a bit more investigation before committing any money imho.

I would expect to pay perhaps £400 - £450 to have a clutch replaced, which doesn't leave a lot to "fully recondition" a gearbox.

As the most common issues with early Jazz manual gearboxes are noisy input shaft bearings, it could possibly be that that's the only part that has been "fully reconditioned", possibly after retrieval from a scrap car, or maybe on exchange gearboxes?

Tread cautiously ....

This gives some peace of mind, almost too good to be true!

"all the necessary parts" ..... hmmm.

It could be a very good deal from a very reputable company, but the whole "reconditioned engine / gearbox" industry is fraught with scams, so be wary.

Is there VAT in that price or is it added on afterwards, or is the company turnover less than the VAT threshold, currently £75k I believe.

Oh, and mileage is spelt with an "e" and generally doesn't start with a capital letter and is normally followed by the word "warranty".

That's all in, no extras,
That's reason I posted here, have had input bearing whirring for a year now and it's getting much worse. Just thought ad it's so common there might be some on here who have had some experience of them 🤔

I used this service about 1.5 years ago (10,000 miles ago), and so far (touch wood), everything has been ok.

I went for the "Silver Package" which is £549"...which is supposedly the exact same as the Gold Package except that it comes with only a 6 month warranty instead of 1 year.
