... Yes and yes. It can be a bit flakey which is why it probably isn't activated by default.

...Works flawlessly on HR-V as it happens.

I enabled Android wireless ages ago after reading  the original post here https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=12538.0 and it's been very reliable.

Sometimes Android Auto Google Maps appear within 10 secs of powering up and other times it has taken up to about 2 minutes.
Let's be careful out there !

...Even with an up-to-date Pixel 6 Pro I still get regular device not compatible messages or it won't reconnect after getting back in the car when it was working OK 10 mins before getting out.
Unless carrier signal is to blame.

...Same phone works fine on HR-V  :-X

Disabling and reenabling infotainment Bluetooth helps.

I've often wondered if the numerous Bluetooth to 'devices' connections causes the various delays.

When I powerup :

Phone to infotainment
Phone to Garmin DS61
Phone to headunit for HFT and my speed camera app.

Let's be careful out there !

It works wirelessly but I found the connection unreliable even during use.
No problems with it though using usb cable.

It works for me most times, when it doesn't connecting via USB cable seems to fix the problem and it works wireless the next time I start up.

sorry, quite off-topic: you should probably think about updating your signature!

(it states that you own a MY22 Jazz, yet you're telling us that it works on your MY24 Jazz? - what gives?)
