Covid_19 and nursing staff a big thank you
« on: May 03, 2020, 11:37:09 AM »
I thought a topic on thanking all these folk, would be a nice Gesture from us all.

I would like to mention I have a granddaughter  who has just qualified, and is now working at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow working 12 hour shifts.
I am very proud of her and all her colleagues, and thank you all so much.

Absolutely.

As I mentioned on the other thread, we have two nieces working in the thick of it, one of them has lost two colleagues to the disease. We not only need to appreciate everything they do, but recognise the risks they take, and value them properly after all this is over.

We cannot thank them enough. And the carers who are tending to the aged at home.

I also think the people who keep the food industry going from farmers right through to shelf stackers who can't self isolate deserve a mention alongside our wonderful nurses and doctors.

Don't forget all the postmen and parcel / shopping delivery drivers... people being at home and ordering online must have increases their workload a lot... and they are exposed to virus via parcels and letters ( and maybe doorbells and letterboxes ).
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot
