Hi,
Suppose i should introduce myself first, as i'm new to Jazz ownership, but not hondas. I have an 02 Civic Coupe and a Honda Hornet myself, but have just picked a little Jazz up last night for my girlfriend to use in her new job as a district nurse.
The car is a 52 reg Jazz 1.4 CVT-7. I got it off an old lady (quite cheaply if i'm honest) who had it from new with a massive service history, and quite a few miles on the clock, 108,000 to be precise.
The car itself is clean and tidy, and the engine sounds sweet, gearbox changes fine (or seems too) etc, but has this little problem when driving.
When driving along, at any speed really, if you back off the throttle slightly the car seems to cough a little, like its running a bit lumpy. Applying a bit of throttle seems to drive the car through the cough, but then does it again when you back off. The car idles perfectly and doesn't cut out at all, and seems to set off from a stand still fine, its just when you're moving it does the coughing, as though its holding back a little or starved of fuel slightly.
The car is recently serviced with new spark plugs etc, and had the CVT oil changed 18 months ago at Honda with the genuine stuff (the right one, i checked the part number lol)
Quite frankly i'm stumped, want to get it sorted before she starts using it, so its in the garage, bonnet up, waiting on ideas from you guys

. Think its engine related, but could be gearbox i'm not sure.
Sorry for this essay, but any help or comments are much appreciated.

Thanks
Chris
