1.5?
« on: September 09, 2016, 11:48:25 AM »
How come we never got the 1.5 vtec in the UK? Australia and the US got it. It would have been nice to have the choice of a larger engine than 1.3!

I suspect it is something to do with European emissions figures in the same way that the i-shift gearbox was supposed to produce magically low engine emissions.

You have two options, a 1.2L and a 1.4L engine.

My GF's mother has a 2007 Honda Fit with the 1.5L engine and the god awful CVT...

It's not an economical car either...

It actually does the same MPG that her 1999 Ford Escort 2.0L did - which is around 29 (US) MPG... That's a heck of a hit, compared the MPG I can get out of a 1.4L manual version over here!  ::)

The 1.4 is actually a 1.3 and badged as such overseas. Makes the UK 'Sport' version a bit of a joke.
