TKhan, Can I check you used the Honda CVT oil to flush the autobox ?
Whenever I've completed the change -using 8 litres the owners have reported huge improvements.

Yes, it was changed once by Honda and then once by local garage. I supplied the CVT-f oil to local garage and Honda also used the same one.

Just picked up the car from having the gearbox flushed and side airbags changed because of a recall. Only drove 10 miles, so will give it more miles this weekend. One thing is the mpg gauge is down from 52mpg to 42mpg- real mpg has been 50mpg, Hopefully all will settle down now. I let you know how it goes.

Drop in mpg maybe down to cold weather, lets know how the g/box goes over the few weeks.

Now driven about 600 miles since the gearbox flush. After I've done about 10 miles, still a slight judder on pulling away from rest. Hopefully this may go away over time.

1000 miles since flush, and it seems the judder is on its way back. From cold the runs so smooth, but now after a few miles the judder shows up on pulling away from rest. Letting the car roll and then accelerating does not help. This seems to have happened suddenly, like its learnt to judder and will not unlearn! Is another flush needed, or is this the starter clutch needing to be replaced?

Perhaps it needs the two-stage flush which is described in DrShockr's post in this thread http://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=94.75.

Thanks John for the info - DrShockr's methods sounds interesting and I've printed it out. Having done 1000 miles since the flush (done by Honda Dealer), I'm not sure about doing the stall test. I will look at colour of the CVT fluid and see if its dirty.
