Thanks both. Yes, I did try removing the headlamp height adjuster before I realised it was the wrong thing.

yeh, I thought it was a quarter turn type thingie. Now I KNOW thats what it is, I'll try again tomorrow. Hopefuly it will be a ;little warmer then.

Though I still think it'll be easier to dismantle the car
Don't forget to make photos for a 'DIY changing parking/side light bulbs'  ;D I'll wait for before changing mine.

How the *beep* do you expect me to get a line of sight to the *beep*ing bulb holder, fit my hand in and take photos all at the same time??

I'll try, but TBH I don't know if it'll work.

*thinks* maybe use a mirror so see the unseeable

Could you show us a photo when you've fitted them please? Cheers Steve.

As requested, LED sidelights.

Not an exciting modification but certainly under £10 as I was gifted the material some years ago.

Reflective tape added to the doors and tailgate.

I found the biggest difficulty changing the sidelights for LEDS was the plastic holders had stuck, once they were freed off it wasn't too bad.
The headlights were a pain because Mr Honda  didn't realise western males have much bigger hands. However a mirror helped to see to put back the 'spring'    Still the improvement in lighting was well worth the effort.

Is it worth changing the front indicators with LEDS?

I have never had an indicator bulb blow in a car,  they seem to last forever - so I wouldn't change them and they are easy enough to get to quickly if one ever does blow.   Also need to check if it is a thermal or electronic indicator relay  in Jazz,  if electronic it should handle lower current draw of LED lamps - if thermal it will need the current drawn by filament lamps to operate at proper flash rate (could try CANBUS LED lamps which have a resistor in parallel with LED to draw more current and fool the CANBUS monitoring in cars with this feature that the bulb hasn't blown).  Personally I don't like the abrupt way LED indicators turn on and off,  I like the fading in and out you get with a filament lamp - makes them a bit more friendly on the eye I always think.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

Interesting posts here.  I was out last night and had horrid feeling that my headlights were not 'on'... some roads are poorer lit and more in need of own lights.

Thank you Culzean, sure sign the old brain cells are going. Of course I should have remembered about resistance. After all a  sure sign a bulb has gone on the indicator circuit is that everything on that circuit flashes more quickly.
