rubbish radio reception solved problem
« on: September 07, 2015, 04:05:15 PM »
hi folks after my jazz 09 started being terrible radio reception and being unable to even get a AM signal and not finding a solution contacted local honda dealer he sensibly asked was the aerial still there ,not a stupid question cos it could be missing, i was told it would cost 95 pounds to search the car and see what the problem was. I declined the offer knowing local radio shops could help cheaper. I presumed that it was an aerial problem spent £3-95 on amazon for a new aerial and low and behold it works fine. hope this can help if you have the same problem. I also have a dab radio fitted by honda dealer and this signal kept dropping from the fm station it was tuned to thats now fine.

That's interesting clackers will have to fiddle with mine and go the same route if necessary.
Do you have the info on where you bought the replacement aerial from?

A while ago my aerial rod went missing, whether it was nicked or dropped off I don't know.
The interesting point is that while it was missing the radio still worked OK on both AM and FM !

I got a new, universal aerial, off EBay for very little money.

Vic.
