Momo alloys fitted onto Mk2 Jazz - SPACERS?
« on: February 16, 2015, 03:09:39 PM »
I have just replaced the factory alloys on my Mk2 Jazz ( 175/65 x 14 ) with a set of 15" Momo alloys with 195/50 x 15 from a Civic?!
No problem on the rears, however the fronts are locked solid. I have been advised that I need to fit spacers?
Has anyone had experience of this? and if so what size spacers did you use/ 3mm, 5mm or greater?

Be aware that fitting spacers will put extra loads on your wheel bearings, uprights etc because the wheel is further outboard than it was designed to be.

As Vick says. The rolling rad of your new wheels/tyres will be slightly less than the stock size, so should fit in the arch. The stock offset on Jazz and Civic is 45, but you need to check on the momo wheels for the offset and then count what size spacers you need to fit to give you the correct offset to clear everything within the wheel.

You will probably need to change the wheel studs for longer ones too.
