How to disable the PI SEEK function
« on: February 12, 2015, 10:12:57 PM »
My radio displays 'PI SEEK' when a station is selected from the presets and takes around five seconds to find the station. It only happens with Radio 1, never on Heart.

I know it's an auto-tune function of some kind, triggered by the radio restoring to factory defaults after replacing the battery. I did turn it off before but I can't remember how to do it and I can't find anything in the manual. Any ideas please?

It's a 2007 Jazz with the big button radio/CD unit.

Thanks.

Likely to be within the menu for the radio/RDS functions, so lots of pressing > /? and ****ing when you have 15mins to waste.

I get the same prob sometimes, would i tend to do is if you press the preset button again it sometimes tunes into the station.

I believe its something to do with weak signals hence the 'PI SEEK' appearing.

Try removing the RDS function.

Found it - press the POWER/VOL knob for more than two seconds and change the AF setting to OFF.

You can also change the clock format between 12 and 24 hour format from this menu.
