Interesting info trebor. I wonder if more offers will follow on the old model. Debating whether to go for one. It'll be interesting to see mpg and performance figures for the new car. Hopefully they can get the emissions down so you pay 30 road tax as opposed to 110.

This is now out of date post the budget. There will be no saving of road tax to be had.
Unless I have misinterpreted the budget statement, the road tax changes will become effective on 1st April 2017.

Yes, that's right so there are 2 years left on the old system.

And, to answer your original question, if Honda think they have the petrol CVT version of the new HRV down to 120 g/km (see the specs at the end of the HRV press release - link in HRV forum) then the equivalent Jazz should be comfortably under that threshold.

The Japanese spec Fit 1.3 CVT gets 89g/km (JC08) and the Vezel 1.5 CVT gets 113g/km (JC08)

The numbers will be different in the EU test, but the ratio should be similar. I hope this means the EU spec Jazz CVT will be close to (or even under) 100g/km in the EU test.
