Advice on a gearbox oil & additive for common gearbox bearings fault?

I have a 2003/53 plate Honda Jazz S 1.4, 91.000 miles. It seems to have the known common fault of gearbox bearings.  I want to keep the car as it flies through the MOT each year but I'm looking at £500 to buy a 2nd had gearbox and have it fitted which I can't afford at the moment so I was wondering if there's any gearbox oils and additives that will expand the life of the gearbox and make it run quieter?

I'm in the UK (if that makes any difference). Thanks in advance for any advice!

None that I am aware of.

Have you tried finding out how much to change the bearings is?

Molyslip make additives for both engine and gearbox. Might keep your noise down and provide some extra life in the bearings until you replace the box.
It certainly works on the top end of an engine when used in the engine oil. I have not used the gearbox additive myself, but have read good reports.

Recon might be better than second hand as you should get a guarantee with it.

Save your money re the additives -  if the g/box oil looks dirty have it changed for the correct spec oil, any record with the car when it was last changed /
