Jazz top car for UK students!

Or 'should' be according to the Telegraph...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/picturegalleries/10268154/Top-10-most-reliable-student-cars.html?frame=2653977

"Year: 2008-

Reliability Index rating: 1   Average repair cost: £99.24  The study found that only one per cent of Honda Jazz models registered with Warranty Direct break down in a typical year, making it the top choice for student drivers. "

An observation: How many students could/should afford a GE Jazz? P'raps a well chosen GD, though...

My girlfriend's got a GD jazz as a student. Bought it as it would be reliable and last a while, and the reliability index confirmed that. Two months later and a £800 bill... Well, let's just hope that the GE is better! :p.

What was wrong?

The parts are not cheap for Japanese cars that`s why I fix it myself.
It looks like now the offside rear wheel bearing worn out @140k miles, the nearside has gone @77k miles.
The part cost ~£95-£150 + labourer.

Something to do with the throttle. I think a new throttle body was needed? Doing it myself wouldn't really help either, as it was only £50 or so for the labour. Ah well, at least its not too heavy on fuel...

If GF bought it from a dealer, it's covered by Sale of Goods Act and dealer is responsible.
