Electric folding mirror
« on: April 19, 2013, 09:36:43 AM »
Hi there,

I went down to view a 54 plate Jazz Sport last night (with body kit), everything drive fine but the car has been repaired. so I walk away and carry on hunting on another one.

I spot that there are Electric folding mirror on the Jazz sport and just wonder is it only on sport model or will that be on SE model too?

one last things is the model of the car is 1.4 Se Sport. what is the different of SE sport and Sport?

many thanks

Face-lift models, late 2004 onwards, have folding mirrors (not sure on the 1.2 engine though), it's not limited to the Sport trim. As I understand it, SE Sport and just Sport are the same, it's just that Honda decided to remove the SE from SE sport to simplify things.

You can identify a face-lift SE model by the new CD player, different bumper design and signal lights on the mirrors. Sports versions have fog lights and electronic climate control instead of the ugly control knobs.

Sport replaced SE Sport at facelift (Late 2004) and has electronic climate control, electric folding mirrors and factory-fit bodykit. The sunroof was now optional. If it looks like this it is a Sport and not an SE Sport irrespective of what a dealer or V5C state (DVLA keying error?).

Out of interest what do you mean by the first car having been repaired? CAT C or D?

Many thanks Richard,

I try to post the link here but the post has gone so I think the car must had sold now.

Its a 54 plate sport with spoiler in Vivid Blue, 62500 miles but the pass side fog light glass has broken and the ring of the fog light is loose, large crack on front windscreen, repair on the pass side rear quarter panel.

It is non recorded repaired (i think might be Cat D), V5 say it is SE sport instead of Sport and I check my insurance is around £150 lower on SE sport. I think because it is the change over time (appear on 54 plate - 05 plate )the V5 shows SE sport instead of Sport but I could be wrong.

Can I ask how much the Jazz sport worth nowadays as I saw this could advertise anything from 3000 - 5000.

After I saw two jazz sport I am defo getting one for my wife. My wife said b4 she dont mind what spec and after she saw two with body kit on she is going for Sport instead of SE ;D

It looks like the car was incorrectly recorded as an SE Sport:
Quote
The most common error that crops up is vehicles that don't have exactly the correct model variant recorded on their V5 registration document. For example, a special edition Peugeot 205 Gentry might only have Peugeot 205 recorded on its V5. This can lead to some model variants appearing to be rarer than they actually are.

News archive from 2004 - officially facelift cars are 'Sport' not 'SE Sport':

But....

SE Sport new registrations by year:

Jazz Sport new registrations by year:

Hmmm.  ;D

This is useful to know. so I might still can get a 2006 sport and the V5 will still say SE Sport.

Dont know why the insurance is £150 different for SE Sport and Sport.

I think they just see Jazz Sport and think it must be a sport car and hike the insurance.

Stupid insurance company

Facelift SE (Oct 2004+) is roughly the same as pre-facelift SE Sport. Ours has 15" alloys and side airbags.
