Anyone know how to connect this?
« on: April 08, 2013, 04:02:15 PM »
I have just bought the Victor VT-500T Keyless entry system for my wife's 2003 Jazz, and I am a little confused as to what wires to connect to what on the Jazz, the circuit diagram in the instruction booklet is a bit confusing to me, as I am not sure what diagram to go for, Negative trigger or positive trigger?  She only needs a basic lock/unlock with lights system connected, once I know what wires I need to connect to, and where to put the unit, then hopefully, the penny will drop. For what I see in the diagrams, out of the 13 wires on the edge connector, I only need a Lock wire, Unlock wire, Red +12v Battery, Black earth to chassis, and a Brown wire to lights, but I'm not sure, if anyone has Installed this unit, and would like to share how they did it, then a huge thank you will be in order. The link to the system I bought is:-   http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320655446497&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123   Many thanks.

I did fit before a similar system into my car and I believe I used the negative to lock/unlock the doors.
This is what I`ve fitted:

and here is the manual for it, I think I followed diagram A on page 8:

I did use my meter to find the cables, I took off the door panel, chased the cables back into the car and connected the unit behind the fusebox. I did not connect the lights though (not bothered) but I did connected the boot release cable onto the lock cable, so when I do press the boot release button it gives another impulse and the dead-lock locks the car (lock twice the doors).
