Might sell up!
« on: June 25, 2012, 10:32:11 PM »
Just wondering what you guys think on how much I should expect to be offered for my 54 reg with under 16,000 miles on the clock inside is mint and out side shall be mint as there's a little mark on the rear bumper from where a friend traded a little paint by accident.
Any advice information would be very appreciated! Thanks Tom!

I think between 3-4k but that's my opinion.
Should have a wee look on autotrader to compare prices around your area?

Pardon the ignorance, but what year is a "54"?   How many miles/km has it done?  Do you live near London?  My daughter is looking for something like this.

My 05 sport with 64k on the clock sold for a little under £3.5k if that helps you.

I'd say you would get about £3800 if its a standard 1.4.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_the_United_Kingdom

54 was year denominator for September 2004,  march 2004 was 04.  september 2005 was 55,  march 2005 was 05

Those prices seem very low, compared with what they go for here.  My sister in law who is in Johannesburg recently sold her 2004 Jazz 1.4 Auto for R 70000 (about £6000).  It was very easy to sell, one advert in Gumtree and about 8 calls the first day.  The people who bought it came along with a shopping bag of cash, which is quite common here.

Hondas have a high resale value in SA, similar to Mercedes Benz and VW.  At the other end of the scale are most American cars, Nissan and Range Rover.

People in this country only want to pay rock bottom prices for cars nowerdays especially with the high running costs we are hit with. Plus some are right tight g1ts  ;D

I sold my mint 2005 Toyota Celica GT (34k on the clock) several months back and only got just over £6000. Didn't get many genuine calls before that.

For my Jazz I had several calls from people offering me £2800. Thats ridiculous!! Book price on it is £3500.

I'm now sharing the mrs's car as car ownership in this country is complete cr@p!
