MES Connector location on an 04 GD
« on: February 28, 2012, 08:59:57 AM »
Hello everyone.

Can someone tell me where the MES Connector is on the Jazz. I'm trying to reset my airbag light but can't find a two wire yellow plug that plugs in to a socket with no pins. There are two yellow two wire plugs on the fuse board. One on the front and one on the back but they both have pins....

Help

Ok so according to Honda NZ. The NZ new 04 GD Jazz's don't have a 2Pin MES connector but only an 16Pin DLC connector.

I see that link shows how to get codes from this connector with out a Honda PGM Tester but not how to clear the codes with out a Honda PGM Tester.

Scroll down to: Erasing the DTC Memory
Than: "To erase the DTC(s) from the SRS unit, use a Honda PGM Tester (see the Honda PGM Tester SRS vehicle System Supplement) or the following procedure".

DLC = Data Link Connector or OBD = On Board Diagnostic connector.

If you don`t have that MES connector the OBD connector is located under the steering column closer to the centre dash. In my GD Jazz grey coloured.
