Immobiliser set off by sub-zero temperatures
« on: February 04, 2012, 09:42:52 AM »
Our 2005 1.4-DSI SE Sport immobiliser alarm goes off when car is left in sub-zero temperatures. Why does this happen and how can this be overcome but leaving the car securely locked?

No spiders or small insects in the sensor?  Where I live it never goes below 8 deg but very small insects blow into the car whilst driving with the windows open.

You can block off one of the two sensor heads with masking tape to see of that helps
