they are just behind the steering rubber baffles on the thick steel anti roll bar

you don't even have to jack the car up just spray (it helps if you have a can with a straw attachment)

Cheers monkey dave- really appreciate this.

In your earlier post you said its accessible without a need for a car jack - is that accessible from the side near the wheel arch or right at the front?- was just wondering as its behind the engine how far underneath the body of the car it is (I am guessing that its underneath the car and not accessible from undert the bonnet).

Plus is it really clear to see it or is it obscured by the plastic panel/skirt  that sits on the bottom of the car at the front (presumably to stop moisture from the road going up into the engine bay - you see I am really a newb ???).

Also with the slicon spray do you have to be really carefull when spraying the lube on the bracket joint as to not to spraying on other parts? would you spray and then wipe any excess off?

i gave mine a jet wash underneath and the noise has vanished, even the next day in the cold weather, must have been some grit off the road or something

+1

just at the back of the front wheel arch you should see the baffle for the steering and it is directly behind that

you wont damage anything spraying silicone spray, just do get it on the disc brakes  :D

Cheers monkey dave - will get some silicone spray and give it a go this weekend - are there two bushes or just the one?

boatman - just realised monkeydave's post - said "Do" I had always assumed it was "Dont" anyway but thanks for the heads up.

Now I am wondering about the practicalities I have not had a chance to look / locate the rubber bushes yet, are the disc brakes very close to the rubber bushes? and  if I get spray on the brakes would effect their function? need a new set?

My doesn't so much creak as squeek - very high frequency
over speed bumps.
Probably the same issue as others though.
will mabe have a look underneath with some Silicon spray then....

Its these cheapo Jap cars, made with the thinnest possible steel, held together with old WWII recycled rivets and the odd spot weld.  What do you expect?  Rolls Royce silence?

OMG, are we talking about Honda here?  My apologies, it cannot be any of the above, have to have another rethink..
