Starting problem
« on: August 15, 2011, 09:58:36 AM »
When I start my car, sometimes when  turn the key, it makes a sound that is similar to an electrical arcing noise, the dashboad lights dim as though the battery is dead, doesn't turn over.  But then I you let off the key and try it again and then it starts fine.

Also yesterday I was driving and the green flashing immobiliser light came on, got home, turned it off, restarted the car, no problem, lights gone out.

has anyone had this type of problem before?  A similar post was a post raised in a Honda Fit forum but no clear responses.

sounds like a electrical connection problem somewhere, like a loose cable or similar in the starter motor area...

Its strange, I've never known a Honda having starting problems.  The issue has got worse which I think is better as it will give the dealers more to go at rather than an intermittent fault.
