Anybody fitted 195 50 15 Tyres?

hmm im sitting with 195/50/15 with Falken tyres on my jazz

they were cheaper to get the alloys and tyres than going for 185/50/15 well tbh they were the cheapest lot...my nice shiney alloys + falken tyres for £400 including delivery wasnt too bad

On 195/50/15 Yokohama AD08 with Teins coilover and rigid collar kit. Perfect through corners!

im currently running aftermarket alloys, with Falken 195/50/15's i asked my insurance company about extra costs as the standard wheels were 14" steels and they said there would be no change so i told them to add the alloys to the insurance (total cost was £400 for the alloys + tyres fitted..alloys cost without tyres would have been £219).


Really i would go for it, there might be a slight offset in the sensors but at the end of the day its worth going for because of the savings (ok so my tyres in future will only be £5 each cheaper..but hey £20 saving on 4 tyres is £20)

Ok - maybe in the  wrong place here - but I am thinking the same thing
except
with the 185 55 16 wheels and tyres - very little choice here and super pricey
I wondered about 195 50 16 instead - bit more choice but also cheaper
Why, Oh why? do they bother with low profile 16" on a honda Jazz?

Geof777 after checking the speed difference with http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html (someone else had posted on the first page) it seems like it would be perfectly ok to have 195/50/16's on instead of your 185/55/16's. 1.4% difference made. hopefully that helps, best way though is trial and error
