Airport nightmare at 2a.m.

Arrived back to the airport after 3 weeks away (done twice before no problem) and battery was dead. Got access with the emergency key and attached my trusty NOCO battery - not a flicker.
Went to the car park attendant who came with his big red battery pack. "these hybrids need a good jolt" so he give it one and it started. The ICE ran for a minute, went to Elec mode and stopped. He started it again, said try moving it to keep the engine running, then disappeared! I tried to move it but the parking brake was locked on. I bounced it backwards and forwards for 5 minutes trying to dislodge it then gave up and called Honda Assistance who quoted 2 hours to get assistance. The dash was like a Xmas tree, and as a desperate strange last resort I decided to try and move the car. It moved and all was well-eventually got home at 3.30!! What the devil!!!!!!

Very unfortunate!

The 12V battery can also be charged using the high voltage battery. Apparently that’s what it tried to do after a minute. Why and how the attendant restarted it, is not clear and might have messed things up. However, I think the 12V battery is near its end of life.

For the record: did you double lock the car before leaving it for 3 weeks?

Jan 2022. I had problems when new with a faulty battery and the dealer eventually decided it was faulty. Been fine ever since until now.
just locked the car as normal, don't know if that double locks it.

No it doesn't.
Honda calls this feature "Super Locking" (in case you should search for it in the manual).
If you happen to have a model with keyless access you can indeed apply "super locking" by just pressing the sensor on the door handle or tailgate  twice within 5 seconds (and thus "double locking" it)
Otherwise it gets a little more complicated (from the MY24 manual p181):

Super Locking
The super locking function disables the lock tabs on all doors.
 ■ To activate the super locking function
• Turn the key in the driver’s door towards the vehicle front twice within five seconds.
• Press the lock button on the remote transmitter twice within five seconds.

Models with keyless access system
• Touch the door lock sensor on the door handle
or press the lock button on the tailgate twice within five seconds.

 ■ To cancel the super locking function
Unlock the driver’s door with the remote transmitter or keyless access system.

WARNING
No one must be inside the vehicle with the super locking set.
Persons locked in can get seriously sick or die from the heat built inside the vehicle if left in the sun.
Make sure there is no one inside the vehicle before setting the super locking.

If you unlock a door with the built-in key while the security system is activated, the alarm will go off.
