The battle continues!

Having had no prior luck with eBay due to the unit I required not being available, I again delved into an eBay seller and this is the outcome--

Seller advertised the unit I required -

I asked seller if this unit would fit my car as the listing stated that it would-

I forwarded to the seller a couple of pics of my dashboard and rear of the installed head unit.

They then replied for me not to purchase the item as it was not compatible with my car, this contrary to the listing !!

This morning I have again messaged another eBay seller with pics for confirmation that the advertised unit will fit.

Ho Hum--

Item arrived a few days ago, quite a journey looking at the tracking.

The box containing the item had a rough time in transit, however, looking at the contents at first look nothing appears to be damaged.

I noticed quite a large blemish on the plastic screen surround and sent a pic of this to the seller, they in return are going to send me a free replacement, so more days to go until I can get around to fitting it.

Off at a tangent here--
My Desktop with a Windows operating system decided to do an update, these normally happen with no issues, however, on a restart I noticed that all of my passwords had been deleted. After quite a bit of faffing I managed to get everything back to normal with the exception of being able to log into this site, even using the lost your password/log in name function this didn't get me anywhere. So I then resorted to sending an email to admin@clubjazz for help. By return a moderator RichardA sorted out my log in issues and all is well now. So just a big thankyou not only to RichardA for his help, but also to all those that give up there valuable time to keep this site running-thanks to all.

Take care and be safe
Bob

hi nalimugmug
looks very comprehensive .
does the wiring clip onto the existing car loom or will you have to cut &solder wiring in?
if it is plug & play is there enough space behind the dash for all that wiring.
will your steering wheel controls still work as normal with the new unit fitted?
DENY EVERYTHING BALDRICK!

With reference to a few installation videos on YouTube it appears that not all of the supplied wiring is required for my installation, ill post a pic of what's left over after its fitted.

Steering wheel controls will work according to the sellers listing.

There is no need to do anything to the wiring, either cutting or soldering, its all just plug and play.

There's ample room behind the dash.

Still waiting for the replacement surround screen.
