Back in the Jazz Club!
« on: August 13, 2026, 11:49:07 PM »
Well, it arrived today and the underneath is pretty good despite the previous rusty looking pictures. It needs a little bit of cosmetic detailing and a scratch on the door I swear wasn't there when I test drove it and the mine and the advert pictures didn't show it.
However, the lump sounds amazing and is very smooth, the reversing sensors are better the the 6 month old Corsa I was driving, and my partner thinks I did really well with it and that if my brother would have been alive to see it, he would have approved.

My mechanic had the most amazing smile on his face when he was crawling around it, which told me girl done good!

Don't have a name for it yet. Pee'd off I can't get Planet Rock on the radio, but I did Bluetooth stream it from my phone.

Congratulations! I wish you hundreds of thousands happy miles with your new (to you) Jazz! That 1.5-liter 130 HP engine in that small car is really a nice combination. And the interior is really nice, orange stitches and stripes make it much less boring than the other trim levels. I've had one for six years now.

Did a massive amount of research and drove everyone mad waffling on about it and having a panic that it might be flood damaged. I didn't get to see underneath until yesterday.

Apart from the door scratch, which they are going to have to send a scratch repairer out for, so far all good.

I wanted either Sporty or Skyride Blue, but I actually think this is far smarter. Found lots of different work around for lack of DAB+ and lack of satnav. Just need to go and start driving it.
As per previous post, this scratch needs to be done. No way they didn't see it when detailing the car.

Is your Jazz without satnav? In the picture it looks like you have an antenna for it.

If you're looking at the "truncated shark fin" at the rear centre of the roof, that's the radio aerial. All (UK spec) Jazzes have that. It may also double as a GPS antenna, but the car won't have on-board satnav if it's not a Navi version.

That's then different to our models. Here the shark fin is only with satnav. Also here all Sport/Dynamic Jazzes have satnav.

Yes, my 2018 EX has a sharkfin, but it isn't a Navi so no SatNav.

I did read somewhere (although it may not be true), that they do have the relevant hardware GPS capabilities, but not the required software.

No, not a Navi but I will use my phone and possibly a mobile Android Auto screen when is portable, to mirror my phone on long journeys.

Many congratulations on your new Jazz! It looks fantastic!!!  :)

I'm glad that all your research paid off, it sounds like the car is in excellent nick! I'm certain that your brother would be very happy with your choice, and to see you happy while driving it.

Keep us posted on how you get along! :)
