Toyota Lexus 12v battery
« on: August 11, 2026, 05:35:45 AM »
Some recent Toyota and Lexus cars are locking people inside

Toyota are advising if you don't drive 8,000 miles a year and perform a journey of at least 9 miles twice a week to keep the 12v battery charged then it may discharge

Electrical door releases are an answer to a question nobody asked.

I'm mindful of the 12V battery issue as my Corolla started life as a showroom car before the dealer ran it as a demo car, especially as it only had 390 miles when I purchased it at eight months old. The only low battery warnings I had were due to me not putting it in READY mode when sitting in car with the radio on during the first week or two of ownership.
