CVT-F Oil Options
« on: August 02, 2026, 08:53:12 PM »
2007 1.4 i-DSi

I've read that the OEM gearbox fluid is best but the prices are ridiculous for such an old vehicle.

The Westway one is commonly recommended here if I'm not mistaken. https://www.westwayoils.co.uk/products/cvt-f-fluid-suitable-for-honda-vehicles-honda-hmmf-fluid?variant=41342109515964

My local auto parts have in stock and recommended https://granvilleoil.com/prodInfo?pID=581. Anyone used this Granville? Specs seems to be similar.

Other questions:

  • * Is it 3.3L in total required?
  • * Is it easy enough to drain from the bottom sump, or even easier to use an oil extractor pump (I have one used previously for engine oil)?

Thanks
