I think one of the cleverest ( and probably cheapest ) car advert I ever saw involved a "city type" returning to his get his car from a city car park with an attendant as security.
He presents his ticket to the young attendant who immediately looks worried and starts apologising that he has no idea "how they got in or how they managed to do it".
Fearing the worst, they walk to the car, with the attendant still apologising profusely, only for the owner to find absolutely nothing wrong with car.
When he asks what the problem, is the attendant points to the boot and says "Look, they've got in and fitted a Skoda badge to it ....!!!!"
Obviously this was around the time that VW had bought and relaunched Skoda, effectively killing off all the Skoda jokes and getting customers to realise that the cars were well built and good value.
