Hi all!

I can't remember if I've asked this here or not but I'll ask anyway.
My 2009 Honda Jazz (GE6 1.4 L L13Z1 manual if that helps) has been have battery issues over the last year or so. The battery was replaced and that seemed to fix it for a while but then it started acting up again. Brand new battery put into it, no improvement. The alternator was changed, it's just gone dead after sitting for three days. I drive it five days a week in and out of work, I don't leave lights on in it and it was locked for the three days. Does anyone have any previous experience of a similar issue? I've looked it up online elsewhere and on YouTube but nothing seems to be working.
Any help would be massively appreciated!

The battery on the mk2 is quite small. If you have a power drain anywhere, it might be draining the battery faster than you can recharge it while driving, especially if your commute isn't very long.

Do you have a multimeter? If so, you could try and test for this, e.g.:

Could it be due to a rusty connector near battery and/or alternator?

Beat me to it , had that exact thing on  a mk1 Cavalier about 35 yrs ago .
Cost me an expensive tow off the motorway and all caused by a rusty ten pence connector to the alternator.

Problem still ongoing, will check this atm. I’ve gotten my hands on a thermal camera which is going to be the next test to check the fuses. Thank you all for the help so far!

Update: The thermal camera turned up nothing but it was very hot when it was checked. I might get it again when the weather cools off and hopefully something turns up. Also, a mutlimeter was used and it does read that something is draining it but that lead to the alternator being replaced which also didn't fix the problem unfortunately. Any other suggestions are welcome!

Similar year Civics had a similar problem and it was frequently the HFT module

No idea whether your model has one
Let's be careful out there !
