I agree. With modern engine oils 6250 mile oil changes are only really necessary if the engine works under particularly harsh conditions. EG very hot or very cold climates ,frequently very dusty, or if the engine has to work exceptionally hard . Eg 'enthusiastic 'driving, or towing a heavy trailer up mountain passes.
Only driving short journeys where the engine rarely gets fully hot is also considered harsh conditions .This is because cold oil doesnt circulate as well, and cold engines produce a lot of water vapour which may not get hot enough to evaporate, possibly contaminating the oil. But this is kind of self regulating. If you do 6250 miles in 12 months the engine probably gets hot often enough to last more miles. The thing to avoid is things like only getting the oil changed every 2 years because you only do 3000 miles year etc. ( But if service records show a previous owner did this its not the end of the world.

)
Its also important to change the CVT 'gearbox' oil/fluid at the correct intervals, And make sure the correct specification of CVT oil for your car is used. Many people recommend using genuine Honda cvt fluid , but I think even Honda sell 2 at least two different specifications. Other brands can cause problems.
