My main objection to garage forecourt pumps is that most of them (in my area at least) are no longer free of charge or not working.

Maybe the younger generation have no objection to regularly making a contactless payment of maybe 50p . For many its not real money - until they max out on all their credit cards. To me its 10 shillings ! Plus you have to rush round adding a few psi to all 4 tyres before the machine times out, and it now costs you £1.
I too find the Honda supplied pump too fiddly to pack away for regular use. I bought an 'ultimate' battery powered pump from Lidls. But I cant recommend it. It never really charged fully. I should have taken it back immediately but it did the job of adding 2-3 psi to 4 tyres so I persevered with it. Recently it stopped working completely but by now the guarantee had run out

And when I went to use my old cigarette lighter powered pump that was broken as well !
Did I learn the lesson of buy cheap buy twice? Nope

I bought one of these -
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/257446635009It has the advantage that if the battery runs down mid job you can still run it using the supplied cigarette lighter lead. (many similar devices dont have this option) The claimed battery capacity of 18000mAh is nonsense of course , its much less than that, but it easily coped with adding about 3 psi to 4 tyres when I swopped back to my summer tyres .
What the heck I thought, £18 would soon be spent on a garage forecourt (Actually I only paid £16 and this was from my ebay sellers balance . I had made about £100 from clearing stuff out of my cluttered garage

)
I've not had it long enough to specifically recommend it but I have been impressed so far .Feels solid and much better made than the Lidl one. It comes in a tidy carry pouch and can fit in the mk 4 arm rest box.
