Check System

The message CHECK SYSTEM appeared on small round screen ,on rt hand dude of steering wheel on my Jazz mk 3  2017 just after starting off.
I pulled over and turned off engine for several minutes
Restarted and all appeared ok.
Could some kind person explain this for me.

Check system is probably a deteriorating battery

It needs a diagnostic check to see what diagnostic trouble codes have been stored, it could be the start of something that may intern fail and cause you problems in the future.
