That is HERE navigation, regional maps can be updated via WiFi and whole map is updated via USB via the HERE website.

here is the guide how to update. Will try doing it myself later:

Coming back to the topic Andoid Auto / Google Maps turn-by-turn:

You will find it here: >>Display Audio>Customized Features at page 307 ■ Meter setup

Turn by turn display
Toggles the pop-up warning in the turn-by-turn navigation in the driver information interface.
> Turn-by-Turn Directions P. 151
Selectable Settings ON*1/OFF

Thanks Jazzik, but that's me well and truly stumped. All my settings are correct - checked and double checked and yet the Android/Google combination simply will no longer display turn-by-turns on the drivers display... only get turn-by-turns using the in-built 'Here' system.  >:(

I just went to the HERE website for Navigation Updatess:
https://here.navigation.com/home/en_GB/HEREEMEA/EUR

when you press on the Honda logo it takes you here:
https://here.navigation.com/home/en_GB/HondaEMEA/EUR

but then if you enter your model, a Jazz, it will only show models up to 2015  ???

anyone tried to update HERE navigation via the USB?

I was told to use the CR-V instead.
So in this link: https://here.navigation.com/home/en_GB/HondaEMEA/EUR

chose CR-V for the model and then use the year 2025. On the bottom you can enter your VIN number and see if you are eligible for updates. In my case it showed that I am eligible for

Europe Map
Latest map database version available: 2025.09.18
Subscription expires: 2033-04-06

will try to do it later. Need a 32GB USB formatted in FAT32

just checked. The version in my car is
1.75.134.432
2024.06.26

so that is pretty old.

When you fill in the VIN and the date of your version it will give you a download button. You first need to download the "Here Map Downloader", link is also in that page. When you download the program, it will start when you push on the download button. In my case the map for Europe is downloading. I am using a 256GB micro SD inside a USB stick to save it. First needed to format that in FAT32. Currently it is downloading. I guess when finished I take it to the car and use the menu in the settings of the navigation to get the update from the USB.

Not easy  :)  I might stick with Tomtom. I even think the HERE App is free. Pretty sure the maps in the apps are updated more frequently. Well, I have been using the Tomtom app for many years and it automatically checks if there are updates for the maps that you are using. If there are updates it will notify you and this is several times per year. I think for the Honda-HERE maps there are only updates once a year.

My HERE system (2025MY) tells me when there are updates available. I only update the three UK bits which was easy using WiFi. Once downloaded, updating takes some time but doesn’t need WiFi and you can still drive.

yes, true, i also did that for Belgium and The Netherlands. The Netherlands they divide in 2 separate download, east and west. That seemed odd to me. Was just curious how to do it via USB.

I managed to put the new map on. Before starting the car I put in the USB stick in the USB data slot and it automatically sees it. Took 40 minutes to update. I used the crappy micro SD that failed earlier in my cam. It only has Disk Sequential 64.0 Read of 4.60 MB/s. The maps size in my case is 24.4GB. So 40 minutes is not bad, not sure how that is possible. Next time I use my high speed micro SD, maybe it will go faster then.

I use a 32 usb stick rather than a 'flash' card with reader.     It take about 30/40 minutes to download  full europe maps to the car.  It may not be  top specification . (I cant check - its packed away at present)   But its good enough for a single download maybe once a year. (I always format it  first)

thanks, ok that's about the same (you also have the map of Europe I assume). I actually did not time it precisely, it said it would take 40min. It was about that. Yes, that is also what I plan to do, update once a year when a new map is posted.

UK cars come with full europe mapping. I always update the whole lot.  But that doesnt mean all parts of Europe are always equally up to date.  In Eastern Europe I was often driving on roads  that have been there for years but not yet shown on the mapping. Or the exact opposite.  Included on the map in advance of them actually being built.  Not just little roads. Major motorways.

android auto is a bit of a problem. Wireless is a total disaster but also wired is sometimes an issue. Nothing to do with Honda. I had an aftermarket Android head unit in my old Suzuki (which I sold). Same problem.. Today I had a rough time to get it to start working. Usually I plug my phone into the USB data port and it starts up when you start the car. But not always. What helps is to get the phone out of sleep mode, but not always. It is a bit of a nuisance

I tried AA wireless with 2 Samsung phones (S10 and S23+) and wireless was hit and miss but always took quite a few seconds to connect, or fail

When I switched to wired I had no further problems and my phones more often than not connected before the startup splash screen had gone
Let's be careful out there !

Any problem with Google Maps, I switch to in built for a short journey and that seems to fix the problem

yes I also use wired always. At my home the mobile signal is weak or not existent. Inside I use mobile over wifi (VoWifi). So at my home this is always an issue when I start the car then there just isn't any signal. Literally 100 meters down the road there is (a weak) signal. I live in a river valley. But today also in town it just would not start. Possibly the signal was just weak (by coincidence). Later it worked. I also have Samsung but an older and cheaper model => A53 5G, 2022, not too old. Maybe my problems are just because of a bad signal.
