Classic Car LEDs Siidelights
« on: October 13, 2020, 07:31:27 PM »
Having fitted Classic Car LEDs H4 headlight bulbs and been very pleased with them, I was thinking of fitting the front sidelights with the intention of having the the sidelights on all the time as DRLís. Anyone tried them and have any comments good or bad please?

Thanks John, do you remember which one of their range did you fit as a sidelight?

Cheers

Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

Next you'll have to consider changing the indicator bulbs. Check if a flashing front indicator is visible from a distance if the sidelights are on as brighter sidelights make an adjacent indicator less visible. You might be OK as the indicator isn't immediately next to the side light. The Mk 3 Jazz is worse in this respect.

I'm not going to replace the indicator bulbs as I can't be bothered faffing around with load resistors which are necessary to avoid 'hyperflash'.
As you correctly say the problem doesn't exist on the GD as the sidelights and indicators are about as far away from each other as they can be.
