Help finding part number
« on: February 27, 2026, 01:12:18 AM »
Hi all,

My honda jazz 2008 (2nd gen) has lost its air ducting that connects under the bonnet/hood and directs air from in front of the car to the engine air intake at the back of the engine bay.

I know i had it one upon a time as I did see it was loose and tried to replace the plastic clips from a local auto parts store but couldn't find ones that fit. So i left it on with loose clips and must have come off while driving or during a service i've had not too sure as I have only noticed recently it is gone.

i have asked around a few honda wreckers/scrappers here in Australia but haven't got a response unfortunately.

So i would like some help find the part number for the ducting for the life of me I cannot find it. hopefully it is still sold somewhere.

thanks

you could get the part no. from  https://www.parts-honda.uk/

most breakers in the uk use ebay and some ship internationally.

good luck

Thanks for the reply!

i have looked through all what i think are the relevant diagrams and could never find reference to the exact part I need.

issue as well is i don't know the exact name of it so it's hard to search for. anything with air duct usually just gives me inside the car parts. anything to do with air intake for the engine also doesn't have it. the hood diagram doesn't seem to have it.

In the UK we have a few 'used parts finder' web sites   where you enter details of the  parts you need  ,free of charge, and  various car breakers  who have a Jazz in their yard  contact you with a price.  But I doubt any would ship to Australia. Do you have any such sites in Australia , or other  slightly more local Australasia/Pacific countries?

It might help your search if you are able to find a photo of a similar Jazz engine bay  and  edit it to highlight the missing parts you need.
If you post this image to this forum someone might be able to name it, or even find a part number moulded into the  plastic on their car.
Of course it would be a bit unfair to use  a VPN to pretend you are in the UK to get similar help from UK breakers yards  ;)

If you also send this image to wreckers in Oz they may be more likely to respond.   Good luck

Hi
I find the partssouq.com web page has been very useful for identifying the original  manufacturers parts numbers for all the cars I have owned for the past 10 years.  It uses the manufacturers drawings and lists previous and current manufacturer replacement parts numbers. That having been said, Partssouq won’t actually be able to supply all the items, many will flag up as not available (through them), although they may well still be available from Honda dealers or oe suppliers.Annoyingly to shine up the appropriate model you have to choose your search filters on the partssouq web pages with care as they use acronyms for filter options eg 5MT means you have chosen 5 gear manual transmission. Also from memory for UK based cars the UK filter seems to bring up cars supplied in far flung commonwealth dependencies like the Falkland Isles not necessarily mainland UK! Whilst the Europe selections seem more like mine etc. Neverless with patience you should find your model…You may need to scroll through lots of pictures to find where they have placed the item.. Air ducting might be under Heating or in Engine or Body… Unfortunately you don’t have an index. You can get good bargain prices on this site of actual manufacturers packaged parts at a fraction of main dealer price. They are based in UAE/ Dubhai but parts I have ordered have arrived incredibly quickly! Good Luck

What you are looking for is 17245-RB0-000 cooling duct.
It would be easier for you to order from amayama. You need 4 x clips too.
