no security alarm on Sport

After a few years of ownership of the 2018 Sport it occured to me I've never heard the security alarm go off.

I tried ' forcing ' it to activate , but nothing.

I know the EX has one but presumably the Sport doesn't ?

Ah well , at least I wont have the annoyance of it going off accidentally.

I thought all trim levels had a security alarm, it'd be odd if one didn't. How did you try to force it? One thing that's mentioned in the handbook is that unlocking the doors with the physical key should trigger the alarm ... have you tried that?

initially I was testing by locking the car and then opening a door through the window.

The indicators had flashed 3 times and the red light on the dash was set ... BUT I didn't leave it long enough.

There is a time delay from locking the car to the alarm setting.
