Garmin update requested... no updates available.

I have just had the little map icon appear on the nav display, and an instruction to carry out an update.

I bunged the USB in (after formatting), and accepted the update info from the display after the prompt.

All good.

Came into the house, launched the Garmin express on the laptop..

bunged in the USB, and it immediately connects to the Garmin app..

searches for updates..

Then has the cheek and audacity to tell me 'no updates available, all up to date'.

I checked the map info... 2025 10.

This has happened twice now. Last month I did a successful update, after being prompted to do one. Yet a few weeks prior to this, I had this same 'update now... no updates available all up to date' shenanigans.

I wish it knew what it was doing, these false alarms are annoying.

I’ve had this happen several times on our Jazz EX but not on on our 20 plate CRV….quirky software on the Jazz infotainment me thinks!

The Jazz seems to think that because it's not been updated in the last ~year there must be an update

or, it could be that if you do a check, at least on mine it did, it would show a "1" instead of the actual update version
