Climate control lights not working
« on: October 14, 2025, 07:46:37 PM »
2007 1.4 Jazz. I noticed at night, with lights on, about half of the heating/AC buttons don't illuminate.

Can anyone tell me if these are just bulbs behind each button that needs changing, and is it difficult to remove the panel and replace bulbs?

It's not fuse as half the buttons still illuminate, and the buttons themselves work. Just no light at night.

Thanks

Find how to remove the radio in service manual and below it, just above those three dials which are controling your AC, there are 2 bulbs. I pulled them out and took then to local auto parts store where they sold me replacement bulbs which i just put in the socket and plopped them back.

P.S: you either need very slim fingers or long pliers when pulling those bulbs out and also installing them.

Useful to know it is just a bulb. I was concerned it be new switch to replace. Now, I need to find out how to to remove the AC/radio unit to get to it.
If anyone has instructions, that be appreciated.

I actually found a video for removal: Only issue, when they turn the unit around at 05:25 mark, it appears that there are no bulbs. It's either a sealed unit, or there are screws to remove the plastic panel for the bottom AC unit.

Ah, thats the fancier headunit with better aircon. I have the peasants three-dial one  :D .

But looking at the links which bill888 provided, it is pretty much the same.
Look for some guide on manual aircon models, yours should be roughly 80 percent same.
