Recent prices
« on: September 19, 2025, 04:57:30 PM »
Yesterday Honda announced new prices for Jazz, Civic and ZR-V in the Netherlands. The Jazz dropped around 4,500€, Civic dropped 5,000€ and ZR-V even 7,500€  :o.
Is that similar to other countries? Or is Honda trying to get sales up before maybe deciding to give up (at least in NL)?

In the Czech Republic, Honda is now also having a promotion on these cars. Actually, they always have some promotions going on.   :D
I'm currently looking at the Jazz, but compared to the spring sale when I bought my Jazz, there is an increase of by 1,850 EUR.  ;D

But right in Japan, there are prices...

As far as i know in the UK Jazz prices have not recently gone down, at least RRP.  There are some good deals to be had though by Honda and Dealers significantly undercutting the LIST prices.

Tell me, in the Netherlands and Czech Republic, can you then negotiate on these reduced prices to maybe get a further discount? or are you stuck with the recommended Honda retail price for the car?

Of course, I tried another individual discount, but it's not possible.
I learned that promotion special prices are always announced by Honda headquarters in the Czech Republic and these special prices are fixed for all Honda dealers.
Individual dealers can only set prices on accessories and retrofits.

And it is possible that the price levels and promotional prices for individual countries are determined by the main Honda dealership for Europe (in the Netherlands?), but I am just speculating on this.

ZRV offered at price below the extra tax range in Perth recently - due to large unsold stock apparently

Yes, i was told a couple months ago by by local dealer that they haven't yet sold a ZRV!!  Maybe theyve broken their duck now.  Seems like a nice car tho, just crazy overpriced, and a bit big for us.

Haha, we also have a discount on the ZR-V now. And it's a big one - 9000 EUR!

Right now, the ZR-V Elegance costs only a little more than as the Jazz Advance… :o

And now I see why: the new ZR-Vs are all from 2024, so they've been sitting somewhere for almost two years...

-----
Otherwise, the ZR-V is not a bad car, the only downside is the direct injection.
It's a pity that such a price wasn't available in the spring, I would have bought a ZR-V instead of a Jazz.

Considering that they have been stored for 2 years, what sort of condition will both sets of batteries be in?

My Jazz, similar setup, has a warning sticker under the bonnet, stating car must be driven at least every 6 months, to ensure battery lives to fight another day.

davejazz: Well, that's also true. Especially the one I linked to is standing inside polished in the showroom.

I was also looking at the ZR-V. Beautiful car. A bit too big for my garden entry to the garage. Honda is just very small in Europe. In the USA they are number 4. In the USA they have a greater choice of models. Also in Asia Honda is quite big. In Europe they are very small. I am not sure they are too expensive when compared to other brands.

My big annoyance was back in 2013

In the USA they had a lovely 2 door Civic Coupe but we only had one body design
Let's be careful out there !

You can probably compare the Toyota Corolla Cross with the Honda ZR-V. Here in Belgium the most expensive Toyota Corolla Cross model is 46815€ (including discounts) and the most expensive ZR-V is 42125€ including discounts. I much rather have the ZR-V.

Toyota however offers a larger variety of choice. The Corolla Cross is also available as AWD, the ZR-V is not, at least here in Belgium. But the Corolla Cross AWD is 48755€ here in Belgium

Hello

I'm considering getting a Jazz as a second car, because the prices are now better.

Where I live I can get a Jazz MK4 for 21300€. This is cheaper than Toyota Yaris hybrid. I like more the Yaris from outside, but the Jazz feels more premium and roomy inside, and it's made in Japan.

However this price is for the Elegance variant, it doesn't come in a regular white (it comes in "Sunlight white pearl"). Sport is the next tier they import (which cost 3700€ more). The Sport one has a White closer to a normal white I wanted.

So I have a doubt, when you accelerate the 2025 "Elegance", does it has the "Linear Shift control"? (the "fake gears feeling")? Or this is only available in the Advance and Sport variants?

(VIN of the blue one in exhibition started like this: JHMGR3856TSxxxxxx I couldn't find this VIN in spareparts sites, I guess because it is new). I also couldn't find workshop manual (i'm a bit nerd with workshop manuals, obd2, etc, but I guess I won't need this a 0km Honda Jazz with its low maintenance and will probably do oil changes at Honda the first years "just" for the warranty).

Where I live i do lot of extra-urban 90km/h roads. With some daily 10 min highway (100km/h) and maybe once per week i do 40 minutes on highway at (100km/h a litle bit of 120km/h). I also face lot of wind (20km/h+), uphill and tall speed bumps when going at 60km/h. So I'm curious of what my MPG or L/100KM would be on the Jazz.

Yes, I have an elegance and after discussion on this forum I discovered it does have fake gear changes if you accelerate hard enough. However, I had not noticed it in over a year of “normal” driving.

Thanks a lot. I know it's just a gimmick but here I sometimes accelerate hard to join a short 5 minute highway that I take to go to the town / supermarket. And I generally accelate hard to overtake cars (or cyclist) in 2-way 90km/h roads.
And in these situations I like this gimmick (after watching some youtube videos, but they all show the sport or advance trims).
