Interior screen query
« on: September 08, 2025, 11:31:55 PM »
The reverse camera is only showing an image of what's behind me when I reverse, no coloured guide lines are coming up. It was fitted by the dealer because the original was Japanese. Is there something I can do to adjust it?
Also, weirdy, the gap between the back of my car and the one parked behind is shown on the screen as much wider than the actual gap. Has anyone come across this?

Thanks

No idea.  If its an import like mine the stereo will be in japanese.  I've successfully used google translate app and the phones camera to translate the text to set up bluetooth, and its possible you might be able to adjust the settings to see the lines like mine, but you will have to fiddle around with it and the translations.  It may take a while.  Took me an hour to figure out the bluetooth!  As for the camera, they use a wide angle lens which distorts the image and makes everything seem near when its far away.  Again, you might try experimenting with it, and getting someone to stand less than a metre behind the car so you can get a feel for how close you can get.  Failing that, look out the back window like we used to do, and compare the results.  I only bother using the camera if I'm in a tight space.  The rest of the time I ignore it.
