2005 L13A1 ABS light on

Hi All!

So I have a bit of an issue. My ABS light is on, and I did take it for some tests and turns out it's the pump that's faulty.

I want to put my car through the roadworthy test but they'll fail it because the light is on.

It's so hard to find a new pump so I was wondering if there was a way to just turn off the light?

They did test the computer and found that it's showing as a short on the pump itself

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Its possible to turn it off, somewhere in the service manual you may find a topic regarding "ABS light test" or something like that. I am speaking from the memory since my dad did it on an old jazz we had where the ABS light was also on and there was the same error. By shorting 2 pins on some connector it made the light behave in reverse (light ON when there is no error and light OFF when there was an error).

I bought myself a jazz with same ABS light issue and same error and it was actually the motor inside the pump that had its brushes shot. I took the motor out (whilist still keeping the pump on the car), and with a help from my electrician friend we took the motor apart, cleaned its bits and replaced brushes. 6€ and I have working ABS. Took us like 2 hours since we had to figure out everything.

I would suggest finding someone who can tackle brush DC motors and someone willing to take the motor from the pump (because its pain in the ass  ) Unless you want to do it yourself hehe
