Radio code needed???

Hello can anybody advise me if the radio in my 2008 Jazz SE needs a security code if I disconnect my battery? If it does, is it OK to put 12v dc onto the battery clamps whilst I take the battery out? Have read some posts about having to re-learn the ECU settings as well if battery is disconnected. Great forum, many thanks.

No radio code as far as I am aware.

I don't have one for my Jazz which is a 2007 model.
