Full car trunk mat
« on: May 19, 2025, 03:11:47 PM »
Does anyone really have one in their Jazz?

Example:
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006010711391.html
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005008497094217.html
https://vi.aliexpress.com/i/1005007985037792.html

I went through a lot of offers on Aliexpress, but when I wrote to the seller asking if it would fit the Honda Jazz e:HEV 2024, but with the step in the trunk, and sent a picture, they all said they didn't have it for my car.

Only one wrote that yes, it does. It arrived today and of course it doesn't fit at all.

That's why I'm looking for someone who actually has it in Jazz.

I was going to purchase the boot matt from Honda then decided against it
reason being if I had wanted to get into the storage box in boot I would have
had to move stuff to lift matt to get at hinged carpet to get in storage box thought
about getting one and cutting a square out where storage box is then thought wats
the point in doing that , I now have a very nice tartan travel rug on the boot floor
which is folded around storage box, I had same hassle with previous car of lifting
a rubber matt then a carpet after moving stuff around, I suppose its everybody to
their own depending what they'll be putting in car.
I forgot what I came to forget.

I did get the Honda mat as it's a lot easier to vacuum clean than the felt like surface that clings onto mess quite successfully

I can see where a full boot mat would be useful as mess still clings to the seat back and boot sides and sometimes has to be picked off as even a powerful vacuum isn't enough
Let's be careful out there !

I want to buy it so that I don't scratch the original trim on my new car and it lasts like new for a long time, it is there permanently and it looks nice too. I don't go into that crappy storage box in the floor anyway.

Otherwise, I also have a rubber tub for the trunk, it fits perfectly: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/405260509417  (EAN: 5901165231382)

My solution is to fold down the rear seats and place a black bedsheet to protect the seat backs. After use it can be easily washed in a washing machine. When not needed, it fits into the boot storage box.

A full boot mat would be nice, as it folds up/down automatically with the rear seats.

I bought a universal boot mat for my MK4 Jazz from the Range which was under £10 and is a good fit. I also bought one for my daughter's Peugeot Rifter which has a huge boot.
I use a quilt cover in the boot when going to the tip with garden rubbish which I cann shake out after to save hoovering odd bits that fall out of the bags.

I do the same as Ahavoja. As we mainly use the Jazz as a 2 seater we drop the back seats and use a large  ground sheet to cover all. Great - easy to clean and folds easily. Like others - avoid internet only shops.

We keep an old large lined curtain in the boot to protect the floor, does the job just fine and it was free!

Well, yes, but that doesn't protect the sides and back of the seats.

I just use a thin rubber  universal boot matting . Easily cut to shape.

If you need protection for the sides and seat back  perhaps  slightly adhesive clear  carpet protection film  might be an option  in some circumstances.   If it gets damaged it could be regularly replaced or patched.

But I have never tried using it myself .  Probably wouldnt give much protection from  hard knocks  but might help with pet hairs etc.

Here is an example of what I mean  but there may be more convenient suppliers  or more suitable products

Yes, it depends on what you're carrying

For larger stuff I've got an ancient large Halfords blue plastic liner which when opened out has about a 9" border

The only thing I use is an old thin duvet when I need to protect the boot, I’ve used one for years especially when carrying bikes as they tend to be a bit greasy and it’s worked perfectly

The duvet is long enough to protect the back of the front seats when the rear seats are folded flat and wide enough to protect the sides too

This method has always kept my various boots & carpets immaculate

I use the box under the boot floor for loads of things; tyre pressure gauge, cordless tyre inflator, ice scraper’s, snow brush, glass cleaner and cloths. I find it very useful and use it all the time as it’s a perfect little hideaway so any mat that makes it tricky to access wouldn’t work for me

We always roll the bodies in thick polythene, and secure it with gaffer tape.
