Mk1Jazz Towbar
« on: May 12, 2025, 03:26:23 PM »
Hi all, my 1st post..🙂🙂. I've been trying to get a towbar for my 07/2008 Jazz 1.4 but none seem available in the UK. Looking on a popular selling site they appear available from Poland and I'm just wondering if anyone has bought one and if all was good. I'd been happy to go second hand but seems a bit needle in a haystack..!!

Many thanks, Guy

Also check this recent post on the mk 2  forum where tiny turnip asked if the towbar from his mk 1 would fit his mk 2    I think the answer is No it wont fit . You could try sending a PM to see if  its possible or feasible to aquire the mk 1 bar.  (But I seem to recall that brand new members cant send pm's straight away- maybe just express an interest by replying to the post. )

Also on that thread is a link to a website for pfjones towbars  who list one for the mk1 made by Oris,(and another brand  but thats out of stock )  Presumably they have one in stock in the UK  but might themselves order it from Poland when required.   ;D

I asked recently too about fitting one. Seen the Polish ones on Ebay too. Tried contacting a local towbar place I've used before but no answer.
I've not given up on the idea, just don't want to spend loads.
if you get anywhere with it can you update on here please?

You could also try googling for  'parts finder' websites on line. I think there are more than one.   You enter your details ,vehicle details and part required on the site  (ie a tow bar)  Its free for buyers.   Various car breakers throughout the country monitor the site. If they happen to have a mk1 jazz in their yard with a  towbar that would otherwise just go in the crusher  as scrap metal    they will contact you through the site with a price and carriage  cost.  You might be lucky.

The sites often allow you to pay via their  on line secure payment and the whole transaction is not unlike a personalised ebay listing.

Thanks for the info folks, Ive been let down by 2 well known suppliers and with no joy from part finder so far I think one from Poland may be the next step, fingers crossed.
