What you guys think of the Honda + app

I think it is of more use to Honda than to us customers (at least for the current MK4 Jazz).

I have specifically asked my dealership not to enable the basic "communication device" or whatever this part is officially called, as I see no benefit of its features to me.

On a Honda BEV it may have advantages like:
- remotely monitoring charging levels
- (timed) activation of the heating of the connected car in the morning

However, all of the features come at a large privacy and data loss:
- you are forced to create a Honda account
- you are forced to accept online location (and data) sharing with Honda (and who else?)
- you are forced to pay good money after the first year of ownership

(gone to reset aluminum foil hat) ;)

Same here

Having had the previous App on my 9G Civic I really didn't see the point and only used it when bored and surfing my apps

What finally killed it for me was the continual disable and forced re-enable via going out to the car and starting the engine when told to prove I still had the car

More often than not it failed to find the car with an instruction to drive to another location to get an internet connection

I also have never had my Jazz activated
Let's be careful out there !

It was ok while it was free in the first 3 years, except when failing to communicate the cars location if car parked for more than a few days and car in deep sleep. I have 2 Hondas and for me it is not worth £4.99 a month for one, let alone both.

Does it have hybrid coaching like Toyota's app? Or allow you book a service via the app?

I used the latter to book a service a month in advance but the dealer had no record of it when I turned up. They still fitted me in mind.

I'm afraid the benefits of the Honda+ app are quite limited (at least to Jazz owners):
